We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website, and it has been built with that in mind.

Steps taken

• The whole site is usable by keyboard, and readable with JavaScript switched off.
• There is a skip-to-content link, and focus is always visibly indicated.
• Heading levels are used semantically, with landmark regions marking navigation, content and footer.
• Text contrast meets WCAG 2.2 level AA.
• The layout reflows to 320 pixels and tolerates 200% zoom without losing content.
• Ornamental graphics are hidden from screen readers; colour is never the only cue.
• Motion is minimal and is disabled for anyone whose system asks for reduced motion.

Our assessment

In our judgement the site substantially conforms to WCAG 2.2 at level AA. That judgement is our own — no independent audit has been carried out — which is exactly why we want to be told about problems we have not spotted.
